SmartScape IV

Project Overview

SmartScape IV irrigation was installed during the Fall of 2023 and plants were installed in Winter/Spring of 2024. It features only low water use (as defined as per the WUCOLS database), water conserving plant and shrub species.

The design and installation of SmartScape IV complies with the Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance (MWELO). This means that the area has a calculated water budget via MWELO standards, and must perform within or below this water budget.

The landscape is divided into two main hydrozones, SmartScape IV East, which is is point-source surface irrigation, and SmartScape IV West, which is surface drip irrigation. As per MWELO, the trees located in SmartScape IV are on their own hydrozone/valve.
