Your Sustainable Backyard: Roses

Celebrate Mother's Day with a trip to see one of UC Davis' best kept secrets, Foundation Plant Services (FPS).  FPS produces and distributes virus and disease free plant materials throughout the state.  They are responsible for keeping a healthy collection of roses and on this special Saturday, will open their rose fields up for a public tour from 9-4.  We'll also host a rose sale from 8-5 so you can take some beautiful blooming plants home or give them to Mom.  Field tours and rose sale are free and open to the public.

If you are interested in rose propagation, join us for our exciting workshop where you'll learn propagation techniques from experts.  We've limited our class size for this special event so that registrants will have plenty of time to work with propagation experts and learn their techniques.  Attendees will have ample opportunity to tour fields and shop before and after the educational workshop.  We'll even hold your plants for you until the workshop is finished.  All materials will be provided for the workshop and any plants you create, you'll take home!  Registration is required.
