Science Cafe: Cut Flowers
How did the flowers in your vase arrangement get to their final destination? Join us for a virtual tour of cut flower production and a fantastic floral design demonstration with Strelitzia Flower Company. Everyone will take home a flower arrangement of their own creation!
Professor Heiner Lieth's research and teaching focuses on plant production. He is immersed in the cut flower industry from California to Spain and beyond. We've put together this special science cafe for the public to learn more about cut flower production and the global scale of this huge industry. Join us for presentations and a floral design workshop taught by Strelitzia Flower Company of Davis and Woodland. Course material fee is $25. Please bring cash or a check payable to Strelitzia Flower Company.
