CREATING A HAVEN FOR OUR POLLINATORS!

CCUH has been coordinating the design and installation of a demonstration garden - Honey Bee Haven- and wildflower walkway - Campus Buzzway- with the support of our partners Häagen-Dazs and the UC Davis Department of Entomology.  The half-acre garden and the adjacent wildflower meadow on the UC Davis campus will:

  • bee with comb crop for web
    Provide
bees with a year-round food source
  • Raise public awareness about the disappearing honey bees
  • Encourage visitors to plant bee-friendly gardens of their own
  • LEARN how to plant your own bee-friendly garden HERE.
  • SEARCH for honey-bee supporting plants and a complete free planting guide for your area HERE.
  • SEE the list of plants used in the Honey Bee Haven HERE.
