Helping the Honey Bee

CREATING A HAVEN FOR OUR POLLINATORS

CCUH coordinated the design and installation of the Honey Bee Haven demonstration garden and Campus Buzzway wildflower walkway with the support of our partners Häagen-Dazs and the UC Davis Department of Entomology.  The half-acre garden and the adjacent wildflower meadow on the UC Davis campus will:

  Provide bees with a year-round food source
  
• Raise public awareness about the disappearing honey bees
  
• Encourage visitors to plant bee-friendly gardens of their own
