GREEN FUTURES CAMPAIGN

Shining a spotlight on HORTICULTURAL CAREERS

The mission of the Green Futures Project is to communicate and promote educational and career opportunities in California’s horticulture industry to high school students.  This addresses an imminent need within the field for highly talented and motivated individuals. 

The initial phase of the project was completed in 2007 with background research and interviews with industry professionals and high school students.  This phase was funded by a grant through the California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers (CANGC). 

This project will result in the creation of podcasts and a website that promotes the green industry to high school students, offering them information about jobs and the breadth of career activities in horticulture.
