• Providing a conduit to industry and the public for horticultural research results
• Making environmental research accessible to the public and agencies it affects most

• Helping the Honey Bees

Partnering with Häagen-Dazs and the UC Davis Department of Entomology to support the honey bee populations through a demonstration garden contest and educational outreach.

• Plant Trials Program for sustainable landscape plants

Laying the groundwork for bringing California native plants and other heat- and drought-tolerant species from the UC Davis Arboretum's collection to California nurseries and home gardeners.

• Urban Run-off Water Quality Research

Characterizing neighborhood run-off water, educating gardeners on their role in reducing pollutants in natural waterways, and producing models for urban planning.
